Bohemian glass, or Bohemia crystal, is a type of glass that originated in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia (now part of the Czech Republic). It is known for its high quality, craftsmanship, and innovative designs.

Opaline glass is a semi-opaque or translucent glass that has a milky or pearly appearance. It was a popular material for decorative items in the 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly in France, but was also produced in other regions like Bohemia. The opaque effect is achieved by adding phosphates or oxides to the glass mixture. The colour can vary depending on the minerals used, ranging from white to yellows, greens, and blues.
