What a show stopper, this amazing Epergne consists of a central floral trumpet, surrounded by three bowl shaped flower receivers and three twisted glass canes that have been formed to reflect leaves, these all fit snugly into glass bracket adjoining a circular beveled mirror.
Fantastic condition to the glass, no chips, cracks or repairs.

Once practical tableware in 18th-century France, epergnes evolved into extravagant Victorian centerpieces. Early silver versions held sweets and condiments, but by the 19th century delicate glass flutes transformed them into decorative displays for flowers or candles. Their ornate designs flourished until the Arts and Crafts movement, which favored simplicity over ornament, brought their fashion to an end.
