Cranberry and Vaseline Glass Jack in the Pulpit Vase c.1900, "Jack in the Pulpit" style vase, which was a popular design for art glass in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The user's description of a Stevens and Williams Cranberry and Vaseline Glass Jack in the Pulpit Vase from around 1900 is consistent with the style and characteristics of such pieces.

The "Jack in the Pulpit" style is characterised by a flared, asymmetrical rim, resembling the spathe of the Jack-in-the-pulpit flower.

Stevens & Williams was a prominent English glass manufacturer known for producing high-quality art glass, including pieces in this style.

The vase is made from cranberry glass and vaseline glass. Cranberry glass is a type of red glass made with gold, while vaseline glass is a type of glass that gets its greenish-yellow color from uranium oxide and glows under UV light. The combination of these materials was common for Stevens & Williams pieces from this period.

Height 27 x Width at widest part 15 cm

The glass is in brilliant condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, please note there are few air bubbles in the glass which is common in this age and type of glass, they are noticeable on tin the stem and on the base.
