Pair of 19th Century Custard Glass Vases by Thomas Webb. Jules Barbe for Thomas Webb, hand gilded and enamelled with butterflies and flowers.

Thomas Webb & Sons, established in 1837 in Stourbridge, England was renowned for producing high quality glassware throughout the 19th century. Their custard glass vases, characterised by an opaque, pale yellow hue are particularly notable.

Custard glass is highly collectible, especially pieces with hand-painted floral patterns or gold gilding.

Brilliant Condition.

W-9.5 D-9.5 H-26 (cm)

Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.

All items are sensitively and minimally cleaned
