WMF iridescent Myra art glass 1930s Highly collectable

£67.00

WMF Myra iridescent glass vase, a notable line of Art Deco glassware produced in Germany during the early 20th century.

The surface has a metallic, oil-slick sheen, typically displaying golden-yellow and green hues that shift with light. Made from "Myra-Kristall," a thin, lightweight crystal glass treated with metal salts to create the iridescent effect.

The base usually has a smooth, circular polished pontil mark, indicating it was hand-blown.

WMF Myra glass is almost never signed or engraved; it originally featured paper labels that rarely survived.

Produced by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Geislingen, Germany.

Height 10 x width 9 cm

very good condition, please take time to look at all the images provided, there are 2 small nibbles to the rim of the vase, but these are minor and do not detract from the beauty of this little treasure.

All items are sensitively and minimally cleaned

Any questions please don't hesitate to drop me a message. I am very happy to pass on any additional information, or images you may need, if you are interested in more than one item I can arrange a combined postage price. Many thanks.

Please be aware that you are purchasing a vintage item. We mention any obvious defects to the glass such as chips, cracks, etc. in our description but there may also be minor manufacturing faults eg. marks from the mould, straw marks and air bubbles, which is normal for glass of this era.
